Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series Dual Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1032S)

Extended Talk Time and Reduce Interference Panasonic introduces the latest in innovative solutions with its new line of low interference DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) 6.0 cordless telephones systems. The major benefits of this new line of DECT phones include up to 17 hours of talk time, substantial handset expandability, and markedly reduced interference. What are the benefits of Panasonic DECT 6.0 Phones? Engineered to work in the 1.9 GHz frequency range, these phones will not conflict with other wireless devices such as 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi computer routers, wireless keyboards and mousse, microwave ovens, and other common household devices. And because it?s digital, DECT 6.0 technology also provides long ranges, excellent clarity, and helps deter eavesdropping. Multiple voice paths are used to enable the entire series to provide up to 3-way conferencing, this allows for multiple handsets to be used at the same time and up to 2 handsets can join into a convers (more…)

Works well, control a little awkward
The phone reception and the answering machine work great. The controls aren’t super easy like some other phones.

    Poor range
It’s possible that we received an especially faulty item, but ours was fraught with problems. The biggest problem was a very short range from the base, with calls being dropped or…

I have just used this for 3 days now. Very happy. The specifications do little justice to this phone. 1. This unit has a speakerphone on both handsets. I thought there would be just one on the base fixed unit. 2. Unlike the comparable Uniden model, this has a headset jack. 3. The buttons are big and easy to dial.

No wireless router interference. Overall very happy so far. Much more than I expected.

    Panasonic Cordless phones
I have been pleased with this phone set. It has more functions that our previous set, like conference calling, and the reception is clearer.

    Good for the price
The sound quality is great, the menu is a bit clumsy and the buttons are a bit too large. Other than that the quality, range is great, very reliable and etc.

I got this phone about a week ago in order to replace a 2.4 panasonic that died -some numbers were not dialing and finally battery hookup broke off- In general I like the phone but it has some major things I don’t like.
Pros: Easy to set up. You get 2 phones with 1 phone jack. Speakers are great! (unlike with my old phone people don’t complain when I use them). You can hear answering machines messages from either remote set. Phonebook sharing. You can conference between phones and call each other (big hit with my kids).
    Cons:
    1. There is something wrong with the volume (I read complains about it in reviews in Circuit city and thought maybe person had hearing problem… but no, they were right). Let me explain: the volume goes up and down by itself for no good reason. One phone call you hear great and next one is really low so you need to adjust volume and it goes up and then down on its own again -sometimes during the same call while you are talking- …. You can live with it, you adjust volume but I don’t particularly like playing with volume every other call! For me it is really a pain!
    2. Answering machine base don’t display the number of messages you have (it has no lcd screen!). No talking id or any other fancy stuff either.
    3. When you play messages from answering machine the sound is a little boxy, robot like…not clear. This does not happen if you hear messages from the phones themselves.

In conclusion I would say this is an all right phone, I expected better… but it is also not very expensive and it has the latest technology. I guess now I know why some 5.8 panasonic phones (previous technology) were more expensive than this one… you get what you pay.

It’s a nice compact model, sturdy, and the battery lasts a long time. Overall it’s a good product. It’s hard to get rid of missed calls from the display and it will not display…

We’d looked long and hard at the latest 5.8gHz Unidens (TRU9300 and TRU9400) and Panasonic (6000 series) and hadn’t been exactly overwhelmed by the range and voice quality. Battery life was a joke.

The we heard about the new Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones. In a word: WOW! Dramatically better range, sound quality, and rated talk time than any of the 5.8ghz phones. Uses 2 ordinary AAA NiMH’s. Plus the features of the DECT 6.0 standard itself.

    Much improved!
The Panasonic phone we had for years served us well but this one seems to have more power, cleaner sound and works for longer without constant charging.

    Works Great!!
Very satisfied with these phones. They have ample battery life and range for what I needed (home phone, not office). Answering system is quite sufficient for my needs.

    Be Careful
Although this phone has some good features, it is not user friendly. The caller ID leaves alot to be desired, and has problems showing long distance numbers.

    Great item
The phones were just what I wanted. They do not sound like tin cans but good sounding phones. I have not used all the features but do like the caller id and answering machine.
