This is a great little box in almost every way, and so it is more useful, I think, to say what the downside is.

The CD player remembers where it was only during the pause-state, and the pause-state doesn’t last very long. Turn it off, and you’ve lost your place. This is a minor issue, because a small pad and pencil an resolve it.

Considering that the external FM antenna, in my location, does not have to be extended, it would have been nicer to have an FM antenna built-in and just have the external antenna for those of us far from a signal source.

Other than that, my wife has been delighted to be able to listen to any kind of current CD, her iPod, or a USB flash drive with music files on it (the drive has to be formatted as a Windows flash drive, which can be done on an OS X Mac as well as on a Windows PC), or listen to the radio.

The sound is very pleasant to listen to and is high quality considering the size of the speakers. In fact we intend to get a second one for another location in the house.

Better than average sound for the money. Great options included ipod, radio,cd, and aux. Nice volume for main source in a small room, or for background music in a larger room. Good option for the pricey Bose system plus more features.

    Great product- worth every penny!
This is exactly what I was looking for all in one product! It sounds great and has everything! IPOD, Radio, CD’s, etc… Couldn’t be happier and is worth every penny!

    Great sound for the money!
The best iPod player I’ve heard for $118 (at Target). The fact that it has a CD player and an FM receiver was icing on the cake!

I don’t own this product yet, but had the opportunity to test it thoroughly in the store yesterday. I decided that it is the one I want because it has all the features that I need:
-portable (all in one unit)+ (battery powered)
-great sound (30W RMS)+ bass boost + 4-5 eq presets
-many audio sources: USB, Aux in, CD/MP3, Tuner, Ipod

The ONLY drawback I found was that the FM antenna is not part of the unit, you need to plug an FM aerial antenna. This unit is meant to stand in an office or house, so the “FM on the go” seems not to be an option. However, considering all the other features, it makes a great portable Hi-Fi multisource piece of equipment.

    Great sound machine!
I was looking for an alternative to the very pricey Bose Wave. Following extensive research I chose this Philips system, and boy am I glad I did.

    Great product
We have the stereo in our living room and it does great. Just wish I could turn the volume up a little higher when I’m vaccuming.

    philips or Bose?
I wanted to buy a quality sounding player that could compete with the Bose systems. Well, this was it. For the price difference, you can buy 4 of these!

Fabulous system, very happy with this.
I got this item on sale at Target for $115. The sound is great for a smaller unit, functionality is user friendly, remote really works well (works from far away when I am on the…

Exactly what I was looking for
I have a 5-CD stereo system in my office and I enjoy being able to listen to songs in a random order while I work, but I wanted something smaller and less elaborate in my bedroom…

    very pleased
I bought this product so I could play my ipod in my kitchen. I had an older, huge stereo system that took up so much space on my counters, and this product is great.

Great, until the CD player stops working
I loved this player for all the reasons the positive reviewers mentioned, and even now I like the parts of it that still work.

Looks great, sound is decent, what we’ve been looking for
Got everything you ever need to play music with (USB port, CD, and ipod, FM/AM Tuner). Sound is pretty decent for a small unit.
